Two Free Museum Tickets for September 23rd

A free event for you and a friend.

On their official website, Smithsonian is offering a very special freebie for “Museum Day Live!” on Saturday, September 23rd. They are giving away two free museum tickets to any participating museums in your area.

To receive your tickets, first locate a museum in your area you would like to go to. You can use this link, which is also available on the Smithsonian website. Then on midnight Friday, August 25, you will be able to download the tickets through a link on the top. After clicking on the link, all that is left is to enter your information and the museum you desire to go to and the ticket “will appear on the next screen and be emailed to you”, according to the website. It also mentions that it is crucial to remember to save your ticket.

The deal itself only consists of a singular ticket, but that ticket grants admission for the holder and one other person, so it essentially counts as two. If you wish to bring in extra guests who do not have a ticket of their own, they will have to pay for admission. Also, the ticket will not work for parking, “special exhibits”, or the IMAX theater.

Keep in mind that only one ticket per email address is permitted. Once you choose the museum you want to attend, you cannot alter it. So choose wisely.

Will you be participating in “Museum Day Live!” on Saturday, September 23rd? Which museum will you go to? Let us know in the comments below!
